On behalf of St. Luke's Episcopal School, the Office of Admissions would like to thank you for your interest in our school. It is our pleasure to assist you through the admissions process and introduce you to the many wonderful educational opportunities St. Luke's has to offer.
Our application, teacher recommendation forms, transcript request, and student supplement form are available online. Please note that applicants will not be considered by the Admissions Committee until all pieces of the application, including testing and the student visit, have been completed and/or received by the Admissions Office.
.The application for admission is to be completed online and submitted with the non-refundable application fee of $75 per application. Receipt of the application and fee opens a prospective student’s admission file.
St. Luke’s Episcopal School begins accepting applications one year prior to the date of expected entry.
Parents may request that their child’s application be deferred for no more than one school year.
Parent tours for the 2019-2020 school year may be scheduled after Labor Day to allow for current students to adjust to the new school year routine.
Teacher recommendations are typically sent to St. Luke's after December, for the upcoming school year. This allows your child's current teacher to become familiar with the student academically and socially.
Teacher Recommendation forms will be sent directly to the recommending teacher(s) during the online application process. When prompted in the application, simply provide the teacher’s name and e-mail address and the form(s) will be sent to the recommending teacher(s). All teacher recommendations will be submitted to St. Luke’s electronically via e-mail. Alternatively, you may also download and print the following teacher recommendation forms. The forms are to be completed and sent directly to the Office of Admissions by the recommending teacher.
The transcript request authorizes your child’s current school to send St. Luke’s a copy of his/her official transcript, including standardized testing scores. The student records should be sent directly to the Admissions Office (firstname.lastname@example.org) or faxed to (210) 826-8520, attn: Zandra A. Cook, Director of enrollment management.
When prompted in the online application, applicants for St. Luke’s Intermediate and Middle Levels are to answer the questions independently.
Once we have reviewed your online application, the Admissions Office will contact you to set up a time for your child to shadow.
Candidates for First through Eighth: 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Candidates for Kindergarten: 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Candidates for PK3 & PK4: a group or individual visit will be scheduled depending on the time of year
Once a file is complete, it goes before the Admissions Committee for review. The Committee then selects those students who best meet the criteria for admissions and want to share in partnering with the school. Following acceptance, a contract for enrollment will be mailed to you. Please return it and the non-refundable non-transferable deposit within the stated time. Once both the signed contract and the deposit are received, your child’s space in the class will be secured.
