Get Connected in the Classroom

To our knowledge, St. Luke's was the first middle school in San Antonio to launch a 1-to-1 laptop program in 2011. We are committed to integrating technology into the classroom in ways that enhance learning. Technology enriches the experience of students while facilitating opportunities to act as designers and creators.

Become Naturally Engaged

Our youngest students take their education outside to the St. Luke’s Life Sciences Garden.  Solar-powered irrigation showcases the latest green technology, and the garden provides hands-on learning for curriculum units such as fall harvest and plant life.

Join a Tiger Team

Over 90% of our 5th-8th graders play at least one school sport, and most play two or three.  The majority of coaches are faculty, giving them another chance to connect with their students.  Our championship banners suggest this is a winning combination.

Explore the Arts

Our students created their own Chihuly-inspired piece after studying glass sculptor Dale Chihuly in art class and visiting his “Fiesta Tower” sculpture at the San Antonio Central Library.  The St. Luke’s rendition, made from strips of hand-colored recycled plastic bottles, has been installed in the school’s Newman Library.

Log into the Newman Library

In addition to our light-filled, 25,000+ volume library on campus, St. Luke’s offers a host of on-line resources such as electronic databases and LibGuides for each grade level.
