Our Program

St. Luke’s is a PK–8 school by design. We provide a connected academic experience built around strong relationships, joyful learning, and the developmental needs of children and adolescents.

Relationships are at the heart of the St. Luke’s experience. Teachers take time to understand each student’s strengths, needs, interests, and learning style so that every child feels known, valued, and supported.

Yes. Students are asked to think deeply, solve problems, ask meaningful questions, and apply what they learn. The level of challenge grows as students move through the school.

No. Rigor is not measured by the amount of homework each night or by the speed at which material is covered. Rigorous work is purposeful, age-appropriate, challenging, and always focused on meaningful learning.

Teachers consider what students have already learned, what they need to learn now, and where they are headed next. We regularly reflect upon and review the curriculum to address gaps, reduce unnecessary repetition, and strengthen connections across PK–8.

Independence is a skill that must be taught. At St. Luke’s, students gradually take greater responsibility for organizing their work, managing deadlines, asking for help, thinking critically, and advocating for themselves. We want graduates to leave St. Luke’s knowledgeable, confident, independent, and ready for what comes next.

Technology is used as a tool to support learning, creativity, and problem-solving. STEM experiences allow students to design, build, experiment, collaborate, and learn from productive failure.

Field experiences, service, grade-level trips, and leadership opportunities connect classroom learning to the wider world. These experiential learning experiences build curiosity, independence, teamwork, and confidence.

Our academic program reflects the mission and values of St. Luke’s by educating the whole child. Students grow as scholars, citizens, and leaders while developing compassion, responsibility, and respect for others.
