State of the School Address Recap
Exciting Growth and Innovation at St. Luke’s!
For over 77 years, St. Luke’s Episcopal School has been shaping confident, purpose-driven students. The 2025 State of the School Address confirmed that our future is filled with growth, innovation, and opportunity. Here are some highlights:
Legacy of Excellence
Our graduates continue to excel in top-tier high schools and universities, carrying the values learned at St. Luke’s. We are ramping up our alumni engagement and encourage alums to complete this short contact form so we can keep in touch.
Academic Innovation
We’re expanding our Middle School Journey with:
– A new student-centered block schedule designed to enhance critical thinking and real-world problem-solving.
– The launch of Speak, Create, and Innovate & STEM courses, ensuring students develop essential 21st-century skills.
– Honors math extended to 5th grade to challenge and accelerate learning.
– Grade-level trips for 6th–8th graders that promote independence, leadership, and teamwork.
– An all-middle-school musical—The Lion King—bringing students together in creativity and collaboration.
Athletics Revamped
We are taking our athletic program to the next level with the introduction of basketball and volleyball academies, providing specialized coaching and player development to build strong, competitive teams. Students in Grades 1st-8th will have opportunity to participate on a Tiger sports team each season.
Commitment to the Arts
Our renovated music and art studios, along with a new Black Box theater, provide space for creative growth. St. Luke’s will host The Lion King next spring.
Pre-K Goes Full Day
Our youngest Tigers now enjoy a full-day program, laying the foundation for an 11-year St. Luke’s journey. The PK3 and PK4 school day will run from 8:00-2:45 each day, with the option to add After School Care and/or Enrichment classes.
A Stronger Community
The heart of our school lies in our people—our students, families, faculty, and alumni—all dedicated to shaping the future with faith, leadership, and service. The dedication of our Parent Council and the reopening of the Roar Store extends our Tiger Pride throughout and beyond the community.
Thank you for being part of the St. Luke’s story! If you have questions, I’d be happy to discuss your child’s path forward.
In Partnership,
Mike Jenkins, Head of School
