Monica Crosson
5th-8th Science
Monica Crosson has been a part of the St. Luke’s community for 4 years. She was raised in a household of educators and librarians and always felt drawn to and at home in the educational field. She holds a Bachelor’s in Anthropology from University of Texas at San Antonio. What inspires Monica the most about teaching middle school science is that she is able to bring the miracle of science to life for her students. She believes that empowering students through scientific inquiry and critical thinking sets the tone for students to grow into their fullest potential as contributing and thriving members of our community. She believes that children come into this world experiencing it / filtering it through science-based questions and ideas first. Empowering our young people to think confidently nurtures that process. This inevitably makes our community stronger, healthier and more resilient.
