Mike Jenkins

Head of School

Mike Jenkins serves as the Head of School at St. Luke’s Episcopal School in San Antonio, where he is dedicated to building a culture in which every child is known, loved, and challenged. With more than two decades of experience in independent school leadership, he is passionate about fostering academic excellence, meaningful relationships, and a strong sense of belonging for students, families, and faculty. Mike believes that exceptional schools are built through intentional leadership, a commitment to hospitality, and a culture where every individual knows they matter. Under his leadership, St. Luke’s has experienced significant enrollment growth while expanding academic programs, strengthening community partnerships, and investing in faculty development. He is committed to preparing students not only for success in high school and beyond but also for lives of purpose, leadership, and service. Mike is an active contributor to the independent school community and enjoys mentoring emerging school leaders. He and his family are proud to call San Antonio home and are grateful to be part of the St. Luke’s community. Mike earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas A&M University and his Master of Arts degree from Columbia University’s Klingenstein Center for Independent School Leadership.
