Matt Koehler ’97 (2029)

Matt was born and raised in San Antonio, where he attended St. Luke’s Episcopal School (’97) and later Alamo Heights High School. After high school, Matt graduated from Texas Christian University with a B.S. in Geology. He has 20 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, focused on exploration, operations, acquisitions and development. He is currently President of Cypress Run Energy and Vice President of Exploration & Development for Abaco Operating. Matt is married to Elisabeth Koehler, also a geologist. They share three amazing children, Isabel (’29), Hanson, and Harrison. 

Growing up attending St. Luke’s Church and School. Matt enjoyed participating in various ministries within the church and the diocese, including an appointment to the DWTX Bishop’s Happening advisory board. He has served on the SLES Finance Committee for the past several years.  He is currently serving as President of The Order of the Alamo.
