Singapore Math Night Brings Hands-On Learning and Community Spirit to St. Luke’s!

In September, St. Luke’s Episcopal School opened its doors for Singapore Math Night—a dynamic evening where families stepped into the world of hands-on math learning, innovation, and school spirit.

Designed for Kindergarten through 6th grade but open to all, this event gave families a firsthand look at the engaging strategies used in our classrooms. From our littlest learners to our 4th-grade leaders, students, and parents alike participated in interactive math stations that showcased the creativity and depth of our curriculum.

The evening kicked off with an energizing performance by our Tiny Tiger Cheerleaders, setting the tone for an event filled with excitement and exploration. Families rotated through a series of fun, skill-building math stations, earning stamps on their “Math Bucket List” as they went.

While students enjoyed supervised play, parents attended a Math Strategies Session to better understand how math is taught at St. Luke’s, and how to support learning at home. Fourth-grade families had the added option to attend either a Kinder–4th Grade Math Overview or a Jumpstart into Middle School Math session.

The night also highlighted our Innovation Lab and cutting-edge STEM initiatives, reinforcing St. Luke’s commitment to future-ready learning. In true Tiger spirit, the grade level with the highest turnout earned a special Spirit Day prize, celebrating our strong community connection.

As families headed home with take-home math activities in hand, one thing was clear—Singapore Math Night was more than an event. It was a celebration of learning, partnership, and pride.
