Kristen Stoker
Music Teacher
At St. Luke’s, Mrs. Stoker (Ms. Graham) teaches music to students across all grade levels. She is an Orff-certified educator with a Master of Arts in Teaching from Trinity University, and she designs her lessons around culturally responsive teaching, social-emotional learning, and student-centered instruction. Her favorite part of teaching at St. Luke’s is working with such a wide range of ages and watching students grow as musicians. She loves seeing them discover what excites them most, whether it’s singing, playing instruments like handbells or xylophones, or simply listening to and appreciating different styles of music. Her goal is to help every student build confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music. Outside of school, she enjoys hiking and camping with her husband and their dog, Mowgli, while exploring National Parks. She also loves running and completed the San Antonio Half Marathon this past year. Her goal is to keep training until she can run her first full marathon. When she’s not running or hiking she likes to read a book at home with her three cats or practice her flute.
