Middle School

Middle school is a time of growth.  Middle school students navigate through adolescence, which brings a heightened social awareness, increased academic demands, and greater responsibilities.  The dedicated teachers at St. Luke’s can help your student navigate the transition from child to young adult.

In the Chris Jones Middle School at St. Luke’s, we strive to provide students with a caring environment and innovative curriculum, allowing students to engage and learn to their full potential.  Our faculty connects with students through engaging programs including advisory, clubs, and athletics.  The caring environment in our middle school fosters confidence and independence in our growing young adults.

On campus, our students write, perform, analyze, and create.  For instance, all fifth grade students participate in a robotics skills challenge.  In the robotics challenge, our students use their understanding of simple machines to build elevators, ramps, and drawbridges that their programmable Lego Mindstorm robots use.  Starting next year, students will engage our rigorous curriculum through our one-to-one laptop program, which will allow the seamless use of technology at school and home to write lab reports, direct documentaries, and conduct research online.
