St. Luke's Raises Funds for Louisiana Flood Relief

St. Luke's Episcopal Church and School of San Antonio raised $1,620 to donate to Episcopal School of Baton Rouge's rebuilding efforts in the wake of August's devastating floods. St. Luke's Student Voice organized a special dress day to raise funds, and a group of students held a pop-up "lemonade stand for a cause" over the Labor Day weekend. Meanwhile, the church designated Episcopal School of Baton Rouge as the recipient of their monthly "A Dollar Makes a Difference" campaign. The students and parishioners felt compelled to help this fellow Episcopal school and sent a banner filled with handwritten prayers and well-wishes along with the donation.

Proceeds from the St. Luke's community events have been given to Episcopal School of Baton Rouge's Campus Bounce-Back Fund. The fund will help replace teacher supplies and IT equipment; repurchase athletic equipment and team supplies; and repair athletic fields, playgrounds, and buses.
