St. Luke's Announces February 2017 All-School Read

February 08, 2017
By Webmaster

St. Luke's Parent Council and administration are partnering to promote an all-school parent/faculty read of Julie Lythcott-Haims' How to Raise an Adult: Break Free of the Overparenting Trap and Prepare Your Kid for Success. The New York Times bestseller uses Lythcott-Haims' own observations as a former dean of freshmen and undergraduate advising at Stanford University, as well as substantial additional research related to the impact of "helicopter parenting" on raising autonomous young adults. Click here to see Lythcott-Haims' TED talk.

A group discussion of the book will be held at St. Luke's on Wednesday, March 1st at 11:30 a.m. SLES parents, faculty and friends are encouraged to come engage in what promises to be a lively dialogue about this very relevant topic.
