Summer at St. Luke's Registration Now Open
Click here to explore Summer at St. Luke's 2017, four 1-week sessions from June 5th-June 30th. Courses such as reading and writing workshop, LEGOs, volleyball and fencing will exercise students’ minds and bodies. Morning and afternoon sessions are offered for children ages 4-12 as well as early care beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Spring Tiger Athletics
Congratulations to Tiger track & field on a strong performance at yesterday's opening meet! In a field of over 700 athletes from 20+ schools, SLES 5th/6th boys claimed 4th place in their division and 5th/6th girls earned 6th place. Congratulations also to Joaquin S. for finishing 3rd at the Eagle Division Golf Tournament at Willow Springs. Competitions will resume the week following spring break.
Reminder: please turn in your spring athletic fee if your child is on the golf or track & field team.   Email Michele Stevens with questions.
8th Grade Parent Meeting Tuesday, March 21st
8th grade parents will gather with Mr. Bertha, Ms. Rossi, and Mrs. Koontz on Tuesday evening, March 21st from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the middle school commons to talk about end-of-year events, graduation, and the D.C trip.  We hope to see you all there!
Parent Coffee with 2017-2018 Admin Team Thursday, March 23rd
All parents are invited to mingle with the St. Luke's 2017-2018 administrative team on Thursday, March 23rd following chapel at 8:15 a.m. in the Parlor. Come join us for a cup of coffee!
Girls Global Summit Saturday, March 25th
SLES 8th graders Claire B. and Riley M. will be leading a table discussion at the Girls Global Summit on Saturday, March 25. The summit will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the UIW Rosenberg Skyroom and is free and open to girls and women ages 7 and older. Click here for a link to register.
Shopping & Dining for Dollars Monday, March 27th
Shop, meet, and eat on Monday, March 27th at OrderUp and Bambinos Baby & Children's Boutique in Lincoln Heights. Grab breakfast, lunch or dinner at OrderUp from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and shop Bambinos' new "tots to tweens" personalized gift department from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Congratulations to Joshua S. for receiving a shout-out at chapel this week for his act of citizenship. Congratulations to Claire B., Jose F., Ella G. and Sloane S. for earning a 3rd place team award in last weekend's Shamrock Invitational Middle School Speech Tournament, and kudos to Javi B. and Tiernan O. for claiming the 3rd place trophy for SLES at the Specht Spring Chess Tournament!
How to Raise an Adult Book Discussion Part 2 on Weds., March 29th
Mark your calendars for part 2 of the discussion of our all-school parent/faculty read of Julie Lythcott-Haims' book How to Raise an Adult: Break Free of the Overparenting Trap and Prepare Your Kid for Success.  Meet at 11:30 a.m. in the church large conference room on Wednesday, March 29th. Bring a lunch and join us for a lively discussion whether you have read the book cover to cover or still have it sitting in your "to do" pile!
