Tino Valles

Hip Hop/Jazz Instructor

An exciting and artistic performer and teacher, Tino Valles began dancing at the age of 4 and is still going strong. He has been at Saint Mary’s Hall for eleven years, teaching hip hop and jazz dance fundamentals to the younger boys, and Irish dancing, jazz, and folkloric to the older students. Mr. Valles has performed and choreographed in many professional venues, including TV commercials, musical videos, Fiesta Noche del Rio, the Fort Worth Chamber Orchestra, Sea World and the State Fair of Texas. He is in demand for dance  workshops throughout the United States. Tino Valles has built the SLES Boys Dance Program.

 

Marcie Miller Michalec

Middle School Tap Instructor

Mrs. Michalec earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville Texas. She was also a part of Chi Tau Epsilon- The National Dance Honor Society. She began dancing at the age of 3, and has enjoyed her time performing but loves her passion for teaching all ages in Tap, Modern, Ballet and Jazz. She was a part of the Alamo Arts Ballet Theatre Company from 2008-2010, and she is still an active Board Member for the company. She is a current teacher at LA Performing Arts School where she teaches Ballet and Tap from young teens to adults. Marcie has also taught Modern, Ballet, and Tap at Ballet Arts School with Judith Gani. She also enjoyed being a character performer at Walt Disney World in Florida.

Marcie is happy to join the SLES Dance Program faculty!
