WELCOME TO THE CHRIS JONES MIDDLE SCHOOL

The Chris Jones Middle School at Saint Luke's Episcopal is a "Turning Points School." Turning Points refers to the Carnegie Corporation's study of American education and its conclusion that the middle school years are the critical point in an American child's education -- the years during which young people begin the passage from childhood to adulthood -- the years during which good habits of character are formed, and during which a strong foundation of disciplined, self-confidence should be laid.

Because of the low student-teacher ratio, our students receive the individual attention they need to realize their potential. Individual guidance in a one-on-one relationship gives them a sense of direction and allows them to develop their own talents to their fullest. In our environment of high standards and expectations, students gain the self esteem that comes with hard work and the accomplishment of worthwhile goals and objectives. St. Luke’s ensures that each student contributes to the group and has a sense of belonging in a nurturing community rather than one that is impersonal.

The Chris Jones Middle School provides an environment where adolescence is celebrated, not merely tolerated. Every year we graduate young people who possess the self-confidence, academic ability, social graces, and wisdom to be successful lifelong learners and responsible citizens.

Saint Luke's is a learning community in which excellence is the standard and kindness is the way; we welcome you.
