Jessica Koontz

7th & 8th History

Jessica Koontz moved to San Antonio from England when she was eleven years old.  She received a Bachelor of Science of Foreign Service from Georgetown University. Jessica worked for the Central Intelligence Agency as a Middle East political analyst where she produced intelligence reports and briefed policymakers and Congress. She subsequently earned a Masters of Public Affairs degree from the LBJ School at the University of Texas in Austin. She was selected for and completed the competitive Presidential Management Intern Program.

Following her government experience, Jessica attended Trinity University’s Masters in Teaching Program, with a focus on History and Social Studies. She has been a substitute teacher at St. Luke’s for several years. Jessica has been member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church since 1975 and she is the mother of two recent St. Luke’s graduates.
