5th & 6th Science
Kelly Angle, a San Antonio native, has a rich history with this community. Her family has attended St. Luke’s over the last forty years and she is the first to teach here. Kelly received her B. S. in Biology and minored in Education in 2006. She is certified to teach early childhood through fourth grade in any subject and composite science: fourth through eighth grade. She is the Head Coach for the Robotics Club, which competes annually. She has a diverse background in animal husbandry, from simple invertebrates through mammals; she incorporates this into her fifth and sixth grade curriculum and invites students from the lower school to learn about and handle animals properly. Its not everyday a student can say “I held a live sea urchin today!” Kelly is also an active member of the San Antonio Conservation Society, a certified SCUBA diver and a presenter at the San Antonio Association for the Education of Young Children (SAAEYC) annual conference.
