Library Assistant
Ms. Quintanilla has been at St. Luke’s for over 17 years. Her career at St. Luke’s began as a teacher’s aide in Early Childhood and After School Care. In 2001, she became the library assistant in the school library where she manages the library’s circulation. Ms. Henrietta put herself through school, receiving her certificate in “Childhood Development” at San Antonio College, while multitasking her family and job. She has been trained to use the school’s online circulation system, the school’s online databases, and the Accelerated Reader program.
Ms. Quintanilla has three children, Michael, Marissa and Taylor. Both Michael and Marissa attended St. Luke’s from preschool to fifth grade where they received a great head start and made lifelong friendships. Taylor, her youngest child, is currently in the second grade.
“A children’s story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children’s story in the slightest.”
— C.S. Lewis
