Brian DeLay

Music and Drama 1st-8th

Brian DeLay has performed on guitar and lute throughout the United States, Canada and in Europe. He has appeared with the Santa Fe Opera Orchestra, Santa Fe Pro Musica, Santa Fe New Music, the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, Desert Chorale, the Cincinnati Symphony Chamber Players, the Cincinnati Opera Orchestra, the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, and 20th Century Unlimited. DeLay studied at Indiana University, Mannes College of Music, City University of New York and the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He taught Renaissance lute and music history at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and he was on the faculty of the College of Santa Fe for 12 years before coming to San Antonio. He has also taught music and other subjects in the Santa Fe Public Schools.

He has studied with Clare Callahan, Alice Artzt, Oscar Ghiglia, Igor Kipnis, Christopher Parkening, David Russell, Michael Lorimer, Pepe Romero, Carlos Barbosa-Lima and Eduardo Fernandez.
